Corn and Family Friends

Last weekend we spent the weekend with my sister and her family. We had such a fun time. Adeline has been talking about the kids ever since. Well, here's the story behind the trip and the pictures.
Obviously, you can see Adeline eating corn for the first time. She really got into it; you'd think she was Wisconsin born.
The other picture is Adeline with me and my Sunday School teacher from the U.P. from many years ago. Her name is also Adeline. I wrote her a letter telling her about my little peanut and she wrote back inviting us to come and see her on her 97th birthday. She lives in the same city as my sister, so we thought we'd just take her up on it. Visit, we did. It was really nice to talk with her and find out more about her life. We walked around the grounds of her retirement center and she showed us all the gardens that she works on. She was actually gardening for 8 hours the day before. Yikes!
Anyway, it was a really nice visit. We got to see people we love and Adeline had her very first McDonald's meal. She is hooked on the French Fries...just like her mommy!

I remember Steve telling me the story of Ms. Adeline and how you had chosen the name. How wonderful she was able to meet your Adeline.
