Adeline in Her "Greens"

You just can't beat a good pair of sunglasses. Adeline calls these her "greens" and seems to enjoy them. She put them on today and said, "Hi, dude!" It's hard to be serious around here sometimes.
She is doing so well. Today we went to Hobby Lobby and she told me she saw a B on the wall. She was right, of course. I asked her what was after the B and she said, "O's". Again she was right, the word on the wall was BOOKS. At this point she knows most of her letters and many of the sounds. W is troublesome, as she calls it an M. She can count to ten, but doesn't quite get that each item is a number. Today she counted to five while pointing to one frog. We'll be working on that. Colors are old news. Shapes are up and coming.
Right now it's all about outside, Elmo, and puppies. Not a bad life for our little girl.
And, oh yeah, she is sleeping somewhat better. She was doing all night for about 3 weeks and then we had a whole week of the 4 ams. That's the worst, by the way. Last night we were back to a full 10 hours. Let's hope it's another good night.

I sure enjoy reading about Adeline's accomplishments! Not only has she grown fast (I think she could pass for 2 1/2) she has learned fast (doing stuff 2 1/2 year-olds do)! Watching our children grow gives us many opportunities to praise the Lord for His handiwork!
