Adeline is really learning quite a bit. As you can see, she's learning to stand. What you can't see is that she was so proud of herself that she let go and applauded. While she applauded, she was able to actually stand for a second or two before leaning back onto her block table. Her smile pretty much says it all!
As for other things she's learning, well, there is quite a list. Her first trick was learning to wave bye-bye. It is the cutest thing. She's still working on doing it in context rather than out of the blue. Well, along with learning to wave bye-bye, she received a lot of praise that included clapping. As noted above, she can clap now, and after every wave, she gives herself that much needed encouragement.
So we have wave, clap, and stand. Did I mention crawling? Yup, she has mastered the forward move. Most of the time she is content sitting and playing with her toys, but sometimes there is one that is really necessary, but just out of reach. Not to worry, she can go and get it! What freedom! What liberty!
