We had to travel to The Fujian Province to get Adeline. While we were there we spent each day sight-seeing, doing paperwork and shopping. I mentioned on the Gottcha Day post that she was heavy, well, heavy means bigger than we anticipated. We figured she weighed about 23 lbs. and none of her clothes fit her. We had to get a new wardrobe at Wal-Mart.
Yes, Wal-Mart. They are set up very differently in China. First of all, space is at a premium so they tend to build up. Therefore, Wal-Mart was about 4 or 5 stories high. Each level had certain items, but we weren't sure which ones were where. That was interesting.
We saw some beautiful parks and museums during the day. Due to our running around, Adeline had kind of a mixed up schedule. Sometimes she would get overstimulated and overtired. When this happened she would get the "inconsolables" and walk the halls with her. Overall, she was quite the trooper and we were ready to get to Guangzhou, the last leg of our journey.
